It all started when Mark was on his senior year in high school.He planned to take up an engineering course and hope to graduate with honors.Mark is apromising young man, ful of hopes and dreams. He is one of the smartest guy in high school and even got elected as president of the student council.Then he met a fine young women,they became couple. They look good together and even support each other, helping each other achieve their goals in life. He finally met the girl whom he want to spend the rest of his life with.Suddenly she changed and Mark wasn't able to quickly adapt to the sudden change.She no longer want to see him,He even tried to call her but she's not answering the phone, he tried to visit her but she's not at home.She left Mark wondering what happen, she just disappear for no reason at all, nothing not even goodbye.Then Mark found out that she left with another guy, she got pregnant by him while Mark and her are still together. The world came crashing down on him, he felt cheated and rejected. Suddenly he loss his sweetness, he met people and he just change,He is now very different from the man he used to be. He started taking drugs and start living a sinful life.He thought he deserve to live a shitty life because he's not good enough.He bacame cold-hearted with total disregard for other people.Then he became worse and worst, when all his sin caught up on him he ended up in jail.That's where he met a young woman, she is a psychology intern in the same prison where he's being held. After a few years He was released, but the stigma of being an ex-convict haunt him.He turned to his old ways, he went back to the kind of life that brought him to jail, it is as if he never learned.One day while walking on the street he bumped into someone, then he realized that its the girl he met at the prison.He knew that the girl like him and he courted her but always careful not to fall deeply for her.They became cuople, but Mark being cold-hearted,and don't have any intention of being serious brough her nothing but pain and heartache, but she never left, then Mark wondered why this girl never left her after all the pain he caused her.She is always there, still hoping, and keep on living him.He thought this is something new,He gave everything to the girl he once loved but she left him while he gave nothing to this girl and yet she stayed. Then he ask her,why do you choose to stay after all the pain I caused you. She replied, remember when you are still in prison you are one of my subject, when everybody sees you as a criminal, I see you as a man longing for love.I see you as a man full of hatred and pain, a man trying to hide his brokeness. You're like a glass filled with dirty water.But you know what, if you take a glass full of dirty water and fill it with running water, the running water will eventually flush the dirty water and replace it with clean water.There maybe some bacteria left but not enough to make you sick.I saw you for who you are,and who you are is not what you are right now.
When Jesus found us, we are nothing but wretched, blind and broken-hearted person.But since God created us in his own image, He knows who we trully are. He knows that his unfailing love just like the running water will lead us to christ-likeness. Thats why he will never leave us, He will keep on loving us until we realize that all we need is HIs love. His love that counquers all wrongs and all the sins that we have committed.He choose to love the broken because He wants us to find our strenght in his love.And he knew that His love and our faith will bring us to the completion of our calling that he has for each of us.May God's Love and Grace strenghten us and change us and become more and more like him.
